Designed to accommodate both homeschool requirements and extracurricular pursuits, the curriculum covers a wide range of artistic mediums, including drawing, painting, sketching, and digital design. From foundational techniques to advanced concepts such as composition, color theory, and illustration, each session is crafted to foster artistic growth. Guided by an experienced instructor, students explore diverse subjects like character design, portraits, and still life studies, empowering them to unleash their creativity and express themselves artistically.

About the Instructor
Samantha Walker-Baskin, known as Sami, is a freelance artist and educator passionate about creating custom artwork and bringing joy to others through her innovative "artfun" experiences. Based in Dayton, Ohio, Sami's artistic journey has been shaped by a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Art History degree earned in New York City and a wealth of experience in art education and community engagement.
Sami has taught art to a wide range of audiences, including children, teens, and adults. Her expertise spans developing curricula for young learners, private art lessons for teens, and leading popular paint-and-sip sessions for adults. She has also worked as an assistant teacher at the Dayton Art Institute's summer art camp and as an instructor for adults with disabilities at the Springfield Museum of Art. Currently, Sami is the elementary art teacher at Salem Christian Academy in Dayton, where she continues to inspire creativity in her students.
With a deep commitment to making art accessible, Sami blends her creative talents with her teaching expertise to encourage exploration and self-expression in every artistic endeavor.
